I'd like to work on this.
Since this would also affect the editing of an issue, and there are comments in this view, I think it would make sense to add this shortcut to comments as well. Having the shortcut work for the issue description but not for comments could be confusing UX-wise.
What do you think? If you have no objections, I'd write up a proposal first.

yes, it should also work for comments, PRs, etc...
